As Congress moves quickly to pass an unprecedented economic recovery package, our own Governor said “we are not lobbying” for Minnesota projects to get in the bill.
That means our own Governor is not trying to get more jobs, more money for schools, more dollars in the pockets of working families in his own state when we’re facing the biggest economic downturn in decades.
He’s turned his back on the very citizens he is supposed to represent. And like a bored boyfriend, he’s already got his mind on the next thing. In this case, it’s his national ambitions.

Dear Governor Pawlenty,
While you were elected to serve as Governor, you have refused to lobby for Minnesota projects in the economic recovery package.
That is a betrayal of the trust we put in you to serve us. In essence, you’re cheating on the citizens of your state.
We are asking you to reconsider and start doing everything possible to get as much funding back into our state from the economic recovery package as possible. Our state’s economic future depends on it.
